The Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber welcomes Britney Hardweare on board as the Chamber’s new Events Coordinator starting April 16, 2018.

Hardweare will oversee and assist with the planning and execution of Chamber events, special projects and fundraisers. She will also manage communications for Chamber programming and on behalf of Chamber members via news releases and social media.

“I am truly ecstatic to be working at the Chamber, where I can expand my event planning portfolio and where I can also serve in a role that requires more leadership, Hardweare said.

Hardweare joins the team after serving as the Global Practice Preparation Assistant for the Dean Rusk International Law Center at the University of Georgia School of Law. From October 2016 to April 2018, she provided administrative assistance for the center’s Global Practice Preparation portfolio, which included planning and implementing the Center events and programming, the Global Externships Overseas program, and the study abroad program at the University of Leuven in Belgium.

During her time at the Dean Rusk International Law Center, Hardweare managed logistics for events such as the annual Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law conference, the IntLawGrrls! 10th Birthday Conference, and the International Law Colloquium series. She was also nominated for the Emma Terrell Distinguished Employee Award, which recognizes staff who have demonstrated strong work ethic, service, and exceptional job performance.

Prior to working at the Dean Rusk International Law Center, Hardweare completed a certificate program in Event Planning at Emory University. She also earned a B.A. in International Affairs from the School of Public and International Affairs and a B.A in Magazine Journalism from the Grady School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Georgia. During her time at UGA, she also served on the executive board of the Caribbean Student Association, which hosts the Mr. and Miss International Pageant. In 2013, she competed as Miss Jamaica and was named the reigning Miss International.

“I hope that all my career and personal experiences will make me an asset to the Chamber as well as Dunwoody. I am so excited to have the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful and diverse community,” Hardweare said.

The Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber gladly welcomes Hardweare to the team and to Dunwoody.
