Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber Promotes Georgia Agrotourism with North Georgia Wine Tour

The Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber, in partnership with Pop the Cork Wine Tours, will lead a day-long, North Georgia wine tour on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The “Sip & See North Georgia’s Wine Country” tour will venture through four wineries: Kaya Vineyard & Winery, Frogtown Cellars, the Cottage Vineyard & Winery, and the Yonah Mountain Vineyard & Winery.

Pop the Cork Wine Tours, a Chamber member, provides premium wine tasting day trip tours from the metro Atlanta area to the rolling hills of North Georgia. The tours are led by husband & wife duo Chuck & La Tanya Eiland, who previously led wine tours for 11 years in California’s wine country. The Chamber is enthusiastic about producing this event and fostering this partnership in commitment to Georgia’s agritourism industry.

“[The Chamber] is committed to the prosperity of business in Dunwoody and in Georgia. This is a perfect way to support both through this unique partnership with one of our valued Chamber members while providing a fun way for our members to explore and support things Georgia grown,” said Chamber President & CEO Stephanie Freeman.

The tour will include all wine tasting fees, a gourmet picnic lunch, complimentary snacks and bottled water on-board an executive mini coach, transportation to and from the pickup location, and detailed descriptions of all wine by a wine specialist.

Advance registration for this tour is required; the cost of attendance is $165.00 and $185.00 for members and prospective members, respectively. Advance registration will end on Friday, September 7, 2018, after 1 p.m. Attendees should bring gratuity for the driver, the host, and the wine pourers and additional cash/cards for wine and souvenirs. The Chamber also strongly encourages attendees to dress appropriately for weather conditions and to wear comfortable shoes.
