The Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber will host a ribbon cutting in honor of Dunwoody Christian School’s grand opening at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. The celebration will be held at the school’s new location at 2250 Dunwoody Club Dr., Atlanta, GA 30350.
The mission of Dunwoody Christian School is to "partner with parents to develop children who are grounded in Christ-like character, possess exceptional knowledge, and are prepared to embrace life’s opportunities and challenges," according to the school’s founders, Bob and Cindy Baima.
In addition to serving as the school’s headmaster, Mr. Baima serves as a chaplain in the US Army Reserve where he trains other Army chaplains. Prior to his leadership at Dunwoody Christian School, Baima enjoyed a two-decade-long career at IBM. Prior to her career in education, Ms. Baima enjoyed a successful entrepreneur and small business owner. The husband and wife duo also have two children: Abagail, 4, and Nathan, 6.
Although school will start in session on Monday, August 6, the ribbon cutting on Wednesday will give students, parents, families, guests, and other officials the opportunity to attend the ceremony. The ceremony will include prayer, music, and a lineup of speakers to kick-off the grand opening.
Advance registration is not required, but strongly encouraged. The event is free to attend, and attendees will enjoy light refreshments catered by Chick-Fil-A, located at 2480 Jett Ferry Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338.
