Dunwoody, GA— In response to the popularity of our Forest Bathing programming, The Dunwoody Nature Center has added additional sessions on Sunday, July 12th from 9:00AM - 12:00PM and Saturday, August 8th from 8:00AM - 11:00PM.
Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, is a Japanese form of nature therapy that is designed to connect you with nature. The word, “bathing” refers to the idea of absorbing your natural surroundings using all of the senses, rather than anything to do with water. Forest bathing aims to bring healing through connection to nature and trees. The practice is said to enhance well-being, reduce stress and restore calm.
A recent participant shared, “Forest Bathing was a wonderful spiritual experience, more than I could have imagined! I believe in my heart more and more people are seeking a connection with Mother Earth and her bountiful gifts.”
