Event Description:
In this session, learn and discuss how you can develop health and wellness programs for your business.  Presenters from Emory will share their experience with the development and implementation of wellness programs as well as the impact it has had on their organization.  During the conversation, they will share ideas about how to develop a plan of action, implement programs, leverage resources, and assess the impact on employee wellbeing.
Presenter Bios: 

Melissa Morgan, MS, ACSM EP-C
Manager, Wellness Programs

Melissa Morgan is the Manager of Wellness Programs for Emory University.  In this role, she is responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation of a variety of health promotion and wellness programs focused on increasing physical activity, improving eating habits, and reducing stress of Emory employees. She has a broad background in the areas of fitness and wellness and has worked with various populations from infants to seniors. Melissa obtained a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Youngstown State University and a master’s degree in Sports Administration from Georgia State University and is a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine.

Cynthia Hall, RN, MSN, COHN-S/CM
Corporate Director: Employee Health & Centralized Leave Teams

Cynthia Hall is the Director of Employee Health and Centralized Leave Teams at Emory Healthcare (EHC), where she manages six employee health teams and one leave team delivering for 16,000+ staff members of Emory Healthcare. Mrs. Hall’s career with EHC spans over 13 years. During this 13 year period she was instrumental in developing EHC’s Influenza Mandate (1st in region), Developing on-line tools to track Influenza and Health Assessment status, Initial member of Healthy Emory Steering Committee responsible for developing strategic plan and program design for providing health and wellness activities to staff. Develop partnerships, policy, and process with Human Resources, Managers and Staff dealing with “Fitness for Duty” and “Impaired Staff” programs. Cindy holds a Master’s in Nursing Administration from Kaplan University 2014 and a Bachelors’ in Nursing from Kaplan University 2012. Mrs. Hall is certified in Occupational Health Nursing since 1995 and in Case Management 2004.
